About Karma Credit

An initiative dedicated to fostering positive behaviour and building strong school communities.

Our Vision

Empower young citizens to create better individuals and better societies. Our vision is to nurture these qualities early through Karma (action), so young people grow up seeing kindness as strength and responsibility as value. By building Karma Credits through everyday acts of empathy, students develop strong moral character, strengthen relationships, and contribute to a more compassionate society.

Why we created this

Karma Credit is built on a simple idea - empathic, kind action matters. By recognising and rewarding helpful actions, we encourage students to turn kindness and responsibility into everyday habits. When young people feel seen for doing good, they are more likely to support others and grow into responsible individuals.

Karma Credit are points that students earn for doing positive, helpful, and responsible actions in their surroundings. These credits recognise good behaviour and encourage students to contribute positively to society.

Students in the age group of 11 to 18 years can participate in the program.

A list of empathic actions that show kindness, responsibility, social awareness, teamwork, honesty, and community support will be given in the Karma Credit mobile application. These may include helping peers, participating in neighbourhood wellbeing initiatives, volunteering, or showing respectful behaviour. Students can select the actions based on what they would like to do or what they think needs to be done to improve their surroundings.

Karma Credits are given after your activity is carefully reviewed by the Karma Credit team. We look at more than just what you did — we look at how you did it.

Credits are assigned based on:

Effort – How much effort you put in
Impact – Did your action help others or make a difference?
Empathy & sincerity – Was it thoughtful and genuine?
Content quality – Clear description and real photos

Important things to keep in mind:

Choose the correct category — wrong selection may lead to lower or zero KC
Only real actions are accepted — do not upload images from the internet
Do not copy descriptions from AI or others
Show your effort clearly — explain: what you did, why you did it, and what impact it had
Quality matters more than quantity — one meaningful action beats many incomplete ones
Avoid doing activities only for credits — forced actions may receive lower credits
Try different types of actions — don't repeat the same activity every time

Students can redeem Karma Credit for simple, meaningful rewards such as stationery items from a local Karma Credit partner store. Other options such as learning resources and future skill-building opportunities will be added in future. Rewards focus on motivation and growth rather than material gain.

Yes. Participation in the Karma Credit program is completely voluntary.

Student data is collected only for program purposes and is stored securely. Personal information is not shared with third parties.

Students can still participate using shared devices or with support from teachers.

There is no fixed limit. Students are encouraged to focus on consistent and meaningful actions.

Karma Credit helps you build empathy and responsibility. It recognises your positive actions and supports your overall growth.
